At Mid-Atlantic Spinal Rehab & Chiropractic, we take great pride in providing the finest Chiropractic care to each and every patient. We have included information below about the different chiropractic services offered in our Baltimore Chiropractic office, but please call us at (443) 842-5500 if you have any questions!

At Mid-Atlantic Spinal Rehab & Chiropractic we realize that no two patients are exactly the same. As such, we offer a wide-variety of services to best accommodate the varying needs of our patients. We focus on non-surgical approaches to musculoskeletal rehabilitation using the following techniques:

Chiropractic Care

We provide advanced spinal correction and chiropractic adjustments utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic care have chiropractors been able to provide the level of help and expertise that is available today. Many of the newest chiropractic techniques are actually safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a chiropractor who cares about utilizing the most advanced chiropractic techniques, Dr. Marc Gulitz has years of training, expertise and experience in helping patients experience pain relief for back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other related conditions originating from the spine. Dr. Gulitz can utilize several chiropractic techniques to bring about pain relief including: diversified spinal manipulation (hands on), cox flexion-distraction technique, and Thompson Drop technique. For those patients that either do not want hands on manipulation or cannot tolerate it, Dr. Gulitz offers low-force instrument-assisted spinal manipulation and other therapies to best treat their conditions.

Corrective Exercises

At Mid-Atlantic Spinal Rehab & Chiropractic, we teach our patients how to perform special "blueprint" exercises which can help strengthen and correct the irregularities in their body which may be causing pain. Many of these corrective exercises are performed in the office and then can be performed in the comfort of your own home to help improve the effectiveness of your chiropractic care. Other types of pain such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches are caused by muscles and tissues that are being used improperly, causing injuries over time. In each case, targeted corrective stretches, exercises and strengthening techniques from our experienced chiropractor will help you feel good while also helping your body achieve balance and health. Dr. Gulitz is also able to help with corrective exercises for non-spinal conditions such as shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.

Physical Therapy

At Mid-Atlantic Spinal Rehab & Chiropractic, Dr. Gulitz utilizes his Physical Therapy endorsement to help patients achieve improved ranges of motion, decreased levels of pain, and increased rates of healing for their injuries. He utilizes many therapies that you would commonly encounter in a Physical Therapy office such as heat and ice therapy, ultrasound therapy, paraffin wax, and electric muscle stimulation (interferential current).  Mid-Atlantic Spinal Rehab & Chiropractic utilizes specialized equipment to help with physical therapy in the office. Dr. Gulitz offers theraband tubing for resistance exercises, recumbent bicycles, upper body ergometers, treadmills, wobble/balance boards, swiss exercise balls, intersegmental traction tables, and mechanical traction therapy. For patients with herniated discs in their necks and/or lower backs mechanical traction is able to help with pain and ease the symptoms associated with these conditions.

Lifestyle Advice

Many of our patients come to see Dr. Gulitz to address a specific pain symptom such as back pain, neck pain or headaches. While Dr. Gulitz will address each patient's specific condition with chiropractic care, we often find it helpful to "coach" our patients towards achieving a healthier lifestyle. For example, there may be certain activities that you should avoid or do differently to prevent yourself from unintentionally aggravating your particular health challenges. The goal of including lifestyle advice with a chiropractic care plan is to help each and every patient achieve the fulfilling and happy lifestyle they deserve, one that is full of the activities that are enjoyed most. We recognize that every single one of our patients is a whole person, and we use our expertise to help them reach total health and wellness.

Spinal & Postural Screenings

There is a saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Your spinal health is no exception. Posture and spinal screenings by a trained and experienced chiropractor such as Dr. Marc Gulitz can help reveal important health information, unlocking the door to improved health and well-being. In order to help the Baltimore community, we provide screenings at area malls, community events, health fairs and places of employment. Contact us today at (443) 842-5500 to arrange a screening at your event or workplace.
