5 Car Crash On Route 50
Earlier this year on Route 50 in Annapolis, MD a car accident occurred involving five cars and resulting in the hospitalization of 6 people. The multi-car accident took place in the evening around 6pm near the bay bridge. Thankfully, there were no fatalities, but injuries sustained by the passengers and drivers involved did require medical attention and hospital stays for varying injuries and lengths of time, it is uncertain whether extensive, long-term medical attention was needed for any of the injured victims, such as hospice, chiropractic treatment, or physical therapy. The accident required that the highway be shut down for some time, about the duration of two hours, while emergency services worked to ensure the vehicles were cleared from the road, and injured drivers and passengers were transported to the hospital. Police communicated using twitter and social media to update Annapolis residents about the temporary road detour and when route 50 was reopened for traffic again. No further details were released about the extent of the injuries sustained by the passengers involved, who was involved, or exactly what caused the accident to occur in the first place.
